Raipaper mill in Italy: innovation, efficiency, and energy savings thanks to SAEL

Raipaper has chosen to invest in the future by adopting SAEL’s most advanced technology for its new pulp preparation system. Thanks to the use of liquid-cooled inverters, the company takes another significant step forward in energy efficiency and innovation, further strengthening its successful partnership with SAEL/Elettronica Lucense.
Following the extraordinary success achieved three years ago with the modernization of the sectional drive – where outdated inverters were gradually replaced with state-of-the-art solutions – Raipaper had no doubts: SAEL’s technology was the natural choice to meet the new challenge of stock preparation.
The benefits are clear and revolutionary. A dramatic reduction in the size of electrical panels, without sacrificing installed power, combined with superior efficiency that ensures an almost eternal lifespan for internal components. This optimization has allowed the paper mill to make the most of its space, transforming simple, non-air-conditioned rooms into ideal areas for housing control panel arrays.
The system, with an installed power of approximately 3 MW, has been designed with scalability in mind. It includes pulpers, tanks, pumps, screens, trommels, and more, and is ready for future expansions. Raipaper is looking toward the future with an ambitious investment plan, and the system is fully prepared to support all upcoming developments.
The start of this new chapter is set for April 2025, thanks to meticulous and passionate internal planning. Raipaper is not just upgrading its system; it is building the future, step by step, with innovation, vision, and a steadfast commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability.
